A Great Art Collector-Georgia Red Mud Paintings by Steven Chandler

I try and be private with my art collectors, but I just can't help this one. A few years ago Clint Eastwood was in Athens filming Trouble with the Curb. He called me up and wanted to get a couple paintings. I had met him at Atlanta's Folk Fest a few years before that. He likes jazz and I was standing in front of my paintings with a saxophone belting out some Charlie Parker riffs.
We hit it off right away. After the call, he snuck over during a break in filming and picked up two of my folk art masterpieces, Charley Patton Rattlesnake Blues and The Fiddle Crow Joe's. Afterwards we went to Peppinos, ate pizza and drank two pitchers, that old man can drink, had a good time. He dropped some Benjimans on those paintings too, lordy me, I didn't do anything but play video games and drink beer for 6 months.
Clint is a hell of a guy, signed my copy of Outlaw Joesy Wales, one of my prized possessions.
